Donna Johnson Herring became a gym junkie in the 1980’s. She worked the corporate scene, but always thought about changing careers and working in fitness. After giving birth to her son, she suffered a low back injury. A friend suggested Pilates, and through Pilates she found lasting pain relief. She developed a strong desire to share the Pilates experience with others.
In 2003 the opportunity to train with Rise Karns Stokstad became available to her. Leaving the corporate rat race behind, she started teaching mat classes at various fitness centers in the Cedar Rapids and Marion area. Keeping her certification active, she has continued her STOTT Pilates education, taking courses in Reformer, Chair, Barrels and Cadillac. Donna is also an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) Certified Personal Trainer. She is also a trained Yoga Fit Level 1 Instructor.
Donna truly loves working one on one with her clients. She is inspired to connect with and tune into their needs. Her goal is to lead each individual on a journey of self-discovery, where they can manifest their personal desires and find their true self.
Donna continues to have an active lifestyle. She enjoys long distance running and is proud to say she qualified and ran the Boston Marathon. She also enjoys cycling, yoga, and playing soccer in the backyard with her son and husband.
