Maria Dummermuth's passion is movement. As an athlete for most of her life, she has always been physically active. After achieving her degree in Graphic Design, Maria started work in advertising right out of college and knew immediately that sitting at a computer all day was not her ideal job.
In search of her niche, Maria started teaching group fitness in 1998 and gained her first national certification: AFAA. Over the years her role as a group fitness instructor has taken many forms, but her heart drew her to Pilates and dance. Maria still teaches one group fitness class: BodyJam - a Les Mills program that allows her to both get and share her weekly dance fix.
After taking her first pilates class in 1999, Maria knew teaching pilates was going to be something she truly could connect with and she started her pilates training soon after.
Currently, Maria is a STOTT PILATES instructor, certified in both mat and reformer. She loves to learn and takes every opportunity to gain more knowledge to better serve her clients. While pilates is a very structured form of exercise, Maria utilizes every bit of creativity she can to make her clients' workouts fun and effective.
Maria balances work activities by enjoying the outdoors and traveling with her amazing husband and two children..
